Now that you have been properly warned, let us jump into the second helping of the Left Overs Dinner Series: Breakfast for Dinner. As some of you may know, this dinner party was sold out in DAYS once it was released for sale online. There is a gift and a curse behind that... the great thing is that reservations were locked in early, however a couple of people ended up having to take to-go orders because we were packed to the max. They still enjoyed the environment as it lasted and look to come back to the next one!
As for the food; when the first course came out, diners quickly realized it was ok to have dessert first. The fresh fruit parfait opened the eye of the tastebuds with the honey citrus yogurt, the fresh lime soaked bananas, and the triple berry combination. There were sandwiches made of waffles with bacon and...
soft scrambled eggs inside, drizzled with bacon fat maple glaze soon after. Then to follow, one-egg crepes with fresh vegetables and smoked cheddar cheese... several people mentioning this as a highlight! The sweet potato has quickly took precedence over the crepe, paired with roasted garlic and rosemary. Just as people thought it was coming to an end, servers brought out a martini glass with a smoked salmon and creme cheese spread served on petite buttermilk pancakes. One to two bites took that savory delight to another level in anticipation for the breakfast paella with bacon, sausage, and large langoustines on top. A few guest even had the pleasure of enjoying the heads on theirs as they are served in many other parts of the world.
Then there was dessert: White fudge ice cream with chocolate drizzles over a shortbread cookie paired with a pumpkin mousse! Everyone was full by the time that got there, but they still indulged. What does that tell you? Now I have my thought and I could share all day, buuuuut how about we let the smiles from the pictures do the rest of the communication!
